'Sony Xperia Z3' Review: Z3 Series Raise Sony's Flag in the High-End Mobile Market
Combining superior class materials with the finest Sony technologies, Sony Xperia Z3 offers a much better smartphone experience.
According to Techradar, Xperia Z3 has dimensions of 146 x 72 x 7.3 mm, which is slightly smaller than the Z2 that has 146.8 x 78.3 x 8.2mm in dimensions.
The smartphone's screen display is 5.2 inches with 1920 x 1080 pixels (just like the Xperia Z2), giving high definition display appearance. It uses Google Android 4.4 operating system (Kitkat) and Snapdragon 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Quadcore. The phone weighs 152 grams.
One of the best features of Sony Xperia Series is its camera. Xperia Z3 features its 20.7-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus. It maintains Sony Exmor RS camera, which is further than a new and wide-angle lens. The company's mastery in Cyber-shot and Handycam has been well-integrated to the new Xperia Z3. The user's creativity will be enhanced by using Xperia Z3's wide range of camera applications, making sure those memories are kept to be as vibrant as real life.
The 3,100mAh battery life stands as the phenomenal features of the Xperia Z3. It can sustain activities such as surfing, photo capture, and gaming spanning for up to two days. Talk time is up to 16 hours, standby time is up to 920 hours, music listening time is up to 130 hours, and video playback time is up to 10 hours, as per Sony Mobile.
Its stainless steel corners serve as shock absorbers when the phone accidentally hits the ground. In addition, there are ports for charging as well as adding extras like the mircoSD cards, according to Irish Times. The ports are also covered, so that the device receives protection from external elements.
According to CNET, Sony Xperia Z3 has the Remote Play feature and is the first Sony smartphone that can be strapped to a PlayStation 4 controller and play games. Sony Mobile US president Ravi Nookala spoke about the new phone in a statement, according to the website. "There's no phone that comes close to the entire value proposition when it comes to the hardware, consumer experience, content and gaming," he said. "That will position us uniquely in the market compared to any brand," Nookala added. This integration of Xperia Z3 to PlayStation 4 exhibits the "One Sony" approach.
With the triad of Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Sony positions itself in the high-end smartphone market as it offers its exceptional innovation.
