iPod Touch 6th Generation Release Date 2015: Hopeless Expectations

iPod Touch 6th Generation Release Date 2015: Hopeless Expectations
Over the last few months, there have been a lot of rumors on Apple's new products launches. Earlier it was all about new iPhones, which many thought were just rumors, then came the OS X Yosemite, which was already scheduled for a release in fall, and after that new iPads was in the line. However, many are still looking for an official release date of the new iPod before the holiday season. Questions like is it even coming, what will be the features, how much will it cost, what's the realize date for 2014, are at an all time high.
Unfortunately, the new Touch 6 is not coming this year at all. And if you go by what some of the experts in the industry have to say, Apple might not create any other iPod and discontinue the whole range in the coming year. Tim Cook had already talked about the declining business for new iPods and according to statistics from FOOL, the sales have declined continuously in the last eight straight quarters. From the amazing figures of Quarter 3 in 2012 where 7.67 million iPods were sold with a complete revenue of around $1 billion, the number have dropped down to merely 2.7 million sold iPods with a combined revenue of $461 million.
This is definitely an alarming situation and Apple definitely cannot aim for a quick iPod Touch 6 release date in 2014. For now, Watch is on their priority list, which is supposed to be a huge untapped market with a lot of potential in the coming days.
However, at the same time, Apple might not just shut down Steve Jobs' one of the most ambitious project without trying to fight. Even Forbes think that Apple will try to reinvent iPod Touch 6 and come up with new technologies in 2015 release, it is going to take some time though.
In fact, on e brighter side, when combined with NFC, better Retina display, mighty camera, and better storage space, iPod Touch Generation 6 might be the next big thing that does not cost a fortune like iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus.
