HTC One M7 Updates: Android 5.0 Lollipop Integration Is On January 2015
The Android 5.0 Lollipop official timetable has, already, been confirmed by HTC for all of its supported devices and one of the first HTC models to receive this Lollipop treatment are HTC One M7 Google Play Edition as well as the HTC One M8. These models' original variants are getting Android 5.0 from January 2015 onwards.
During the previous week, Google has introduced the public to Android 5.0 Lollipop, which will be released with the Google/Motorola Nexus 6 smartphone and Google/HTC Nexus 9 Tablet. These will come out in November, probably during the first week, with its brand new operating system version. After, Google will begin to push for the Nexus 4, 5, 7, and 10 Android 5.0 OTA Updates before the start of December.
The Mobile Burn has reported that HTC One M7 Google play edition, probably, will be updated together with Android 5.0 after the installation of Lollipop updates on all Nexus devices; hence, this will materialize between the end of November and the beginning of December months, respectively. After all, HTC One models' Google play editions will be immediately updated with the brand new operating system and at the beginning of 2015, we will be getting HTC One M8 & HTC One M7 sense-based smartphones.
The One M7 & One M8 Android 5.0 Lollipop integration is currently delayed since HTC will have to roll-in all of the HTC sense interface themes and features first. According to The Internation Business Times, the whole "testing" period will take some time before the features and themes are integrated successfully, 100%. Until that time, you could check Android 5.0 Lollipop's web page and check out which features are better than others.
Right after the successful integration of Android 5.0 basics to One M7 and One M8 models, the updates will be continued further to target the release between the months January to March. The complete list of HTC models that will be affected are: Butterfly 2, One E8 Dual SIM, One E8, One M7 Dual SIM, One M8 Dual SIM, and Desire EYE.
In March or April, Android 5.0 Lollipop will also be released for Desire 816 and HTC One Mini 2. The following month, Butterfly S, One Mini and HTC One Max will also receive the Lollipop treatment.
