'Ray Donovan Season 3': A Good Mix of Violence and Emotions
"Ray Donovan" fans will be delighted to know that this show is renewed for its third season; scheduled to hit television screens once more in July 2015, the Bustle revealed.
David Nevins, the network's president, said through the Breathe Cast that "acclaimed shows that are filled with interesting and complex characters with a unique setting; those that will give audiences a compelling act to watch television, are worth investing for a new season."
Reports have claimed that the "Ray Donovan" show will start filming its new season in the first quarter of next year. Also, rumors have revealed that filming will be in Californina, specifically Calabasas City. With respect to the first two seasons of the "Ray Donovan", Season 1 started in June 30, 2013 while Season 2 premiered on July 13, 2014.
Lieve Schrieber is portraying the lead role. Raymond "Ray" Donovan in the series, he is a fixer for a law firm named "Goldman & Drexler" located in Los Angeles, California. His career has led him to serving diverse clients with the likes of professional athletes, celebrities, and high-profile business owners.
As far as prestigious drama shows are concerned, "Ray Donovan" goes for "entertainment" and "fun" more than being "weighty" or becoming too ridiculous and campy. It is similar to "The Fighter"- not thematically dense, but has a good mix of violence and emotions.
Jon Voight is, also, part of the team, portraying the character "Mickey", Ray's father. He is an ex-convict; however, he is once again hunted down by the people of the FBI. "Mickey" will bring trouble to his son "Ray" as well as to his associates since the government agency is targeting the law firm, also.
Other original members of the case, who have also signed-in for the new season include Paula Malcomson- Ray's wife; Eddie Marsan Ray's older brother; and Dash Mihok- the alcoholic younger brother.
