Vikings Season 3 News and Updates: No More Time Jumps This New Season; Plus CGI Effects to be Used for the Paris Invasion

Vikings Season 3 will be hitting the small screen pretty soon. Fans are getting excited and are betting on what's gonna happen come this new season.

Vikings absence from the last New York Comic Con was thought by fans to be the end of Vikings, but then again, that's not what it is to be.

It's been speculated that Vikings Season 3 will not have time jumps as compared to Vikings Season 1 and Vikings Season 2. Showrunner Michael Hirst had explained that there are benefits and downsides for creating time jumps between scenes, but the problem will boil down to determining the right story to tell once a time jump happens and it might ruin the whole plot as it will reveal a new portion of history, leaving out things that should have been written, according to Air Herald.

The benefits though is the fact that it could surprise viewers and the plot thickens and gets interesting. Vikings Season 3 plot will dwell on Lothbrok as the new King of Denmark and on how he deals being a King. Also, Lothbrok's reconciliation with his brother Rollo will be given emphasis and the highlight of the new season will be the raiding Paris with 100 war ships. According to Hirst, CGI will be used in this scenes and the staff and crew would like to roll this out to make it realistic.
