Samsung ATIV Book 9 Features, Specs, Display, Price, Hardware and Latest News: A Comprehensive Review with Pros and Cons!
Samsung has recently came up with eye catching ATIV Book 9 laptop that has already captivated the tech enthusiasts mind with its stunning design and well featured specifications. Apart from smartphones Samsung is has focused on the notebook series as well and their latest ATIV Book 9 clearly carries the proof.
Samsung has polished this laptop well with high end specification and easy portability. The chassis is metal made and packed in a very tight space to reduce the weight. Generally 15.6-inch laptops does not provide easy portability but this device is exceptional. Its screen size is framed within 14.74 x 9.84-inches and the thickness counts as only 0.63 inch. So user might not have to carry long hefty bags to carry the device, as it only weighs 4.4 pounds.
The laptop is lightning fast, as its reboot time takes very short time like you usually press the sleep button and laptop goes to sleep. The screen resolution is also crispy and vivid with 1080p LCD screen. There are some cons regarding the device as it does not come with very high quality hardware specification. The device comes with core i5 processor but cost a lot. The Samsung ATIV Book 9 2014 edition costs around $1499 which is a lot comparing to other Core -i5 processor based laptop.
The laptop is accused of disaster performance during the day or sun light reflective environment. The capacitive screen is very hard to focus while it reflects light. This laptop might not be the best choice in its price range as more features are offered at low cost in other laptops or hybrid tablet-laptops. The battery backup life is also not so impressive.
The battery life can be completely drained within five hours with the lowest brightness. The battery test was run by putting power cell through wringer so the result may vary and less down if operated with full package. Other hybrid laptops like Surface Pro 3 costs $400 less than it even, MacBook Air with well-equipped specification costs around $200 less than the ATIV Book 9 laptop.
