There is no doubt that Apple aspires a lot from their new operating system and it is actually one of the most advanced platforms for smartphones offers seamless integration between desktop and phone, aiding online payment, helping search things with simple voice commands and much more. However, Apple needs to fix common issues faced by users all across the world. As a matter of fact iPhone 5 and 4S users are complaining about it across forums.
Some of the usual iOS 8.1 update problems after installing include battery drain, WiFi connectivity issues, automatic reboot, keyboard lag, frozen screen, Bluetooth connectivity problem, and things similar to these.
Recently, some of the Apple engineers decided to help iPhone 5 users with their tips and hints on dealing with the updates and this included preparing the phone first. According to experts, you should not be traveling or in a hurry for the update. The total process takes around a couple of days, adding the time that you are going to spend understanding the new operating system. iTunes help with faster updates and it is better that you create a manual backup file in case anything goes wrong during the update.
Dealing with iOS 8.1 problems after installing the update is also not that complex. One of the better solutions to all your problems is resetting all the settings in your phone. Although erasing data and resetting is a better option, most people do not want to lose important data files. Setting > General > Reset > Reset All Settings should take care of the majority of problems for iPhone 4S and 5 users all across the world.
For the keyboard lagging issue, make sure that predictive text is not used that often especially with lower configuration phones like 4S. Reset Keyboard Dictionary if problem still persists. Meanwhile, clear cache files from Safari and also remove all junk files using some third party software. As for the connectivity issues, resetting all network setting under the reset option should be suitable. Furthermore, if you cannot connect to cellular data, simple turn that off and on after the iOS 8 update.
