Oneplus One Now Available for Pre-Order Even Without Invites; Company Tries To Expand Its Reach
After its invite system and social media contests end up in a controversial manner, the China-based smartphone maker now opens the sale of its anticipated and much-talked about handset for pre-order, as posted in its own website.
Oneplus has been selling its Oneplus One through invite system 'to control the high demand for the phone while maintaining remarkably high quality'. But after some complains through social media from interested consumers that were not able to get invites, the company will now open a pre-order system that can increase its reach to wider smartphone users.
"With our pre-order system, you'll be able to place your order for the One and immediately be told the estimated shipping time." Interested handset users that would like to purchase the One will be able to place their order starting today. "For the seven days prior to pre-orders you will be able to arrange your shopping cart and save it just how you like it to ensure your checkout goes quickly and smoothly during the pre-orders hour."
On the other hand, Digital Trends reported that there is another catch to Oneplus' new pre-order system. If the One is not available, the consumer's order will be placed in a queue or a waiting list. The time duration of receiving your ordered handset will depend on the company's production. Thus, your intended purchase can be posted for a short or a long period of time.
The good news is that you will only be charged, $300 for the 16GB and $350 for the 64GB, when your order already have its shipping date. "The bad news is that pre-orders will be limited to one-hour window". Seemingly, the Chinese tech-company is still limiting the production of its the One.
So what does make the One so enticing? The Oneplus' smartphone features a 5.5-inch FHD IPS LCD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution and 401 pixels per inch quality, as reported by 3g. It also has a 152.9 x 75.9 x 8.9mm dimensions and weighs 162 gram.
Oneplus One is also powered by the ultra-fast quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz. With 3GB RAM, this smartphone can deliver swift processing and performance. Users are also given 16GB and 64GB internal memory variants.
Camera lovers will also love Oneplus One's 13MP main snapper and the 5MP selfie cam. Add up the 3100 battery that provides long talk, watch, and play time, this handset is surely on the top of its game. It also has ultrafast 3G and 4G LTE feature and Bluetooth and NFC connection.
This China-made tech-advance smartphone is available in Silk White and Sandstone Black.
