Watch Dogs 2 Promises A Gameplay That You Have Never Experienced Before
In the latest interview, the Vice President of Ubisoft, Lionel Raynaud, has discussed the plans of the studio for Watch Dogs 2. He also emphasized that they are taking lots of inspiration the very first Assassin's Creed.
Raynaud said that they had tons of flaws in the gameplay loops' replayability and players could feel that the Assassin's Creed was the first iteration. During that time, there was a clear potential yet it wasn't easy to know this was going to be the franchise that it is at present. He also added that it is the same thing with the game Watch Dogs. It is actually difficult to do everything at the perfect level. This is the main reason why they took more time.
Reynauld also explained that the studio is already searching for some ways to address the flaws of Watch Dogs and promises a radical approach to its storyline and gameplay. He said that there are flaws and they wanted to tackle such flaws and surprise the players and the way to tackle several flaws is going to be a bit radical. There are some parts of the game that will be changed and they have this ambition to have games, which are worlds with systems that provide more freedom and agency for players, allowing them to explore the world in any way they want. They also want to be less character driven or narrative and more creative with more options for players.
He also noted that their aim is quite ambitious as it would require the studio to develop technologies they did not have for the first Watch Dogs.
New Jersey is also said to be the possible setting for the sequel of Watch Dogs after the mysterious Tweet from Ubisoft even if this hasn't yet been confirmed.
It also said that the game will add other locations including Singapore, Tokyo, New York, San Francisco, Dubai, Stockholm, Silicon City, London, and Beijing.
Aside from the rumored new location, according to Air Herald, there might also have a new main character that would bring change to the gameplay.
