Chadwick Boseman is a screenwriter, playwright and actor who was born on November 29, 1976. He is also well known for portraying Jackie Robinson in the 2013 film "24" and James Brown in 2014's "Get on Up." In line with his busy career, Boseman will be starring as Black Panther in "Captain America: Civil War," which will be released on May 6, 2016. He was born near the Blue Ridge Mountains in Anderson, South Carolina, and is the son of Carolyn, a nurse, and Leroy Boseman, who owns an upholstery business.
Prior to his career, Boseman graduated from T.L. Hanna high School in 1995, and completed his college course at Howard University in Washington D.C. Before his portrayal in "42" as Jackie Robinson, he also starred in a television show, playing a role in the NBC television series "Persons, Unknown, Lincoln Heights," appearing as the character Nathaniel "Nate" Ray. Boseman also played the role of Lt. Samuel Drake in the action thriller "The Kill Hole."
In terms of writing, the script written by Boseman for "Deep Azure" was performed at the Congo Square Theater in Chicago, Illinois, and was nominated for the 2006 Joseph Jefferson Award for New Work. Boseman is also familiar with the on-stage experience, as he performed in a variety of stage productions, such as "Willies's Cut and Shine," "Zooman," "Bootleg Blues," and "Romeo and Juliet."
In addition to his creative work, Boseman excelled in the field of basketball at the early age of 13, and aside from being a graduate of Howard University, he was also a student of the British American Dramatic Academy, located in Oxford, England. With the passion and commitment that underpin his career, Boseman has been able to successfully fulfill his dreams and attain his goals in life. In the present year, he is completely immersed in work, with his television-show commitments, as well as the upcoming releases of his new films.
It doesn't end there, though, as Boseman is already acquainted with the receipt of accolades for his achievements. With the awards and nominations that Boseman has received up until the present time, he is grateful to anyone who has, in one way or another, helped or supported him to reach the peak of his success. Moreover, Boseman's status as one of the great inspirations for young people, who also hold vocational aspirations to explore the exciting world of the film industry, is confirmed by both his peers and admirers.
