Activision and Bungie announced yesterday that Destiny's first DLC pack entitled The Dark Below was in its final stages of development and is set to be released on December 9th across all platforms, i.e. PC version, Xbox console and the PlayStation consoles. This new pack will feature addition of new weapons and gear, new missions will be added, and co-op and multiplayer activities will be increased, according to Game Spot news.
"Destiny was created as a living universe, which has allowed us to improve the experience post launch in real-time. It also gives us insight into the things players are looking for in new content. We've seen from feedback that people want new activities, gear and weapons and of course the immensely popular raid. The community helps shape our development decisions and that's really important to us," Bungie president Harold Ryan said in a statement.
All thanks to Activision, The Dark Below will contain: New weapons, armor and gear to earn which has included Legendary and Exotic items. The light level cap has been raised to 32 and in addition 5 more bounty slots have been added. This will involve a new storyline and buildup of new missions "After years of hiding amongst the hive shadows, a new character, Eris has come forth bearing an ominous warning: The Hive seek to summon a god, Crota to destroy the earth." One will find Eris in the tower and take on special guest to the game that has included three new missions that increase one's light and earns more rewards, according to Express news reports.
The DLC pack will bring forth new competitive multiplayer arenas to the game. While on the other hand the PlayStation platform will get access to an exclusive cooperative strike, The Undying Mind and more.
The Dark Below is the first of two announced Destiny expansions included with the game's $35 DLC pass.
