American Idol's Danny Gokey Welcomes Baby Girl Victoria Isabella Gokey

Contemporary Christian artist as well as American Idol alum Danny Gokey and his wife Leyicet welcomed their brand new baby girl Victoria Isabella Gokey into the world on November 28. Arriving in the weekend of Thanksgiving week, the Gokeys have much to rejoice.
On November 28 the former "American Idol" contestant took to Instagram to announce that he and his wife were currently awaiting the arrival of their baby girl. "The day has finally come!! We are at the hospital awaiting our baby girl to make an appearance," he wrote along with a picture.
Once the baby was born Gokey took to Instagram again to show the world. He held her and sung some of the lyrics of Richie Valens "Donna." "HERE SHE IS!!!! Victoria Isabella Gokey! I'm so in loooove!!!! A whopping 9lbs 2oz," he wrote along with a video of him and the baby.
His Leyicet also posted. "I had pain and Braxton hicks for over a week! It's been the longest week and a half of my life but all worth it!," she wrote, "I don't take this blessings lightly, thank you to everyone that has sent their love and congratulations, I feel so blessed and over whelmed with the love and that this chubby little China doll is here."
In June 2014, Gokey released his sophmore album "Hope in Front of Me." The album was produced by Josh Crosby, Bernie Herms, Aaron Sprinkle, Keith Thomas. The lead single from the album is "Hope in Front of Me", released on February 18, 2014. In August, it peaked at No. 4 on the Hot Christian Songs chart, No. 1 on the Christian Airplay chart (lasted 3 weeks) and No. 27 on the Adult Contemporary chart of Billboard.
