Israel Houghton Teams Up with Darlene Zschech & Yolanda Adams for "Covered: Alive in Asia"

On July 24, worship leader and songwriter Israel Houghton returns with his RCA Inspiration debut "Covered: Alive in Asia." On this record, Houghton cuts a song he has written with Darlene Zschech (also recorded by Darlene herself) "In Jesus Name." But Houghton's relationship with Zschech doesn't end there. On the album, Houghton also tackled Hillsong's "Mighty to Save."
Houghton also has a duet with Gospel powerhouse Yolanda Adams on the familiar worship song "How Awesome is Our God," which has been released as a single: "In 15 years playing together with New Breed, the song 'How Awesome Is Our God' was an incredible experience to perform live and share in God's love with our audience globally," said Houghton.
"Having Yolanda Adams singing with us on this song marks a personal 'bucket list' moment for me!"
The album was recorded during Houghton's recent tour in Asia before packed crowds in Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, Jakarta, Japan, Malaysia and South Korea this past October.
Covered: Alive in Asia will mark Israel Houghton & New Breed's 10th album together. It will also be the latest installment in their critically acclaimed "Alive in..." series. The follow up takes the musical passion of the genre to a whole new level for cross-cultural worship leader. With every new sound, Israel & NewBreed continue to transform the scope of contemporary worship.
