Paul Baloche Sets to Release His Second Christmas Worship Set This Year

One of today's most influential worship leaders, songwriters and artists, Paul Baloche is set to present his second Christmas project, appropriately titled "Christmas Worship Vol. 2," Oct. 2 from Integrity Music. The goal of this three-time Dove Award-winning artist and local worship pastor was to create a Christmas album that would minister to and resource the church.
Thus far, we know that one of the new songs we know from the record is "Gloria," a track co-written by Baloche and Michael Rossback. And one of the traditional carol that will be included on the set will be "Angels We Have Heard On High." The new Christmas album promises to be packed with accessible Christmas songs that help create a worship environment familiar to congregants and first time visitors alike.
"Christmas Worship Vol. 2" follows on the heels of Baloche's 2013's first Christmas effort, "Christmas Worship." The first volume is produced by Baloche, Michael Rossback and Ben Gowell, Christmas Worship features special guest vocals by Aaron Shust on "Follow That Star," All Sons & Daughters on "King of Heaven," Kathryn Scott on "This Is Love," Onaje Jefferson on "Offering" and Jennifer Holm on "Prepare Him Room." The album also features additional vocals by Rita Baloche, who further wrote "Prepare Him Room" and "Follow That Star" for the album.
Some of Baloche's songs rank among the most-performed songs in services according to CCLI. Top-ranked songs include "Open the Eyes of My Heart", "Hosanna", "Your Name", "Today Is The Day", and "Above All". Baloche has received numerous Dove Awards over the years. He was nominated for Song of the Year in both the 2002 and 2003 Dove Awards, and in 2002, Michael W. Smith's version of the same song won Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year. Baloche was also nominated for Songwriter of the Year in 2002. In 2009, Baloche won a Dove Award for Inspiration Recorded Song of the Year as co-author of "A New Hallelujah" with Michael W. Smith and his wife Debbie Smith
