Anthony Brown & group therAPy Receive Their First Grammy Nomination

Anthony Brown and group therAPy have received their first ever Grammy Award nomination in the category of Best Gospel Performance/Song for its radio smash "Worth." The song is spending its 13th week at #1 on Billboard Magazine's Gospel AirPlay chart and another week at #1 on the Mediabase Gospel AirPlay chart as well. The 58th annual Grammy Awards take place February 15, 2016 at The Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA and will air on CBS.
The inspiring, uplifting track hails from Brown's sophomore album "Every Day Jesus" (Tyscot Music & Entertainment) that has consistently rested in the Top 5 of Billboard Magazine's Top Gospel Albums sales chart since its release in July 2015. "Worth" has also maintained its own Top 5 standing on the Billboard Magazine digital gospel download sales chart since its Spring debut as it now closes in on nearly 100,000 digital downloads - a staggering success for the gospel genre.
"We are extremely honored to celebrate Anthony's success with 'Worth' and the 'Everyday Jesus' album," says Bryant Scott, President and COO, Tyscot Music & Entertainment. "We knew he was on to something with this song and project. We are excited that it has resonated with so many others and we certainly look forward to developing Anthony's ongoing success with this awesome project."
The Washington, D.C.-based act was born in 2000 as a showcase for Brown's songwriting skills that led to him penning #1 hits such as Maurette Brown Clark's "It Ain't Over." The group released its self-titled inaugural album in 2012 and they have been on a thrilling roller coaster ride of success ever since that period. They've performed on prime-time BET network programs, sung at the Essence Festival and even opened for platinum duo Mary Mary on its first mainstream venue tour in 2014. Anthony Brown & group therAPy's funky tune "Testimony" skyrocketed up the charts and remained on Billboard
Magazine's Gospel AirPlay chart for an astounding 74 weeks.
