Kanye West Contemplates Naming His New Album "So Help Me God"

Hip hop and rap artist Kanye West is contemplating naming his new album "So Help Me God" or "Swish." According to the singer, his new album is a "gospel" album with "Christian" content in it. And in preparation for the record, West even consulted good friend and Christian singer Kirk Franklin.
"When I was sitting in the studio with Kirk, Kirk Franklin, and we're just going through it, I said this is a gospel album, with a whole lot of cursing on it, but it's still a gospel album," West said during an interview with Big Boy Radio. "The gospel according to Ye. It's not exactly what happened in the Bible, but it's this story idea of Mary Magdalene becoming Mary."
West said God was the greatest muse for this new album. His late mother Donda West and his wife Kim Kardashian's late father Robert Kardashian Sr. were also influential iin the creation of the album.
"I'm only doing one percent, two percent of the work and God is doing the rest of the work. My mom... had Teddy Riley change his flight and come back to the studio," West revealed. "Robert Kardashian is making sure that all the deal's getting done. He's still doing deals for controversial black people from up in Heaven."
Nevertheless, Kanye is one of the most controversial artists around. He's had numerous public outbursts and has then made numerous public apologies. There were instances where he had rejected his Christian upbringing and especially the feeling that he had no choice when it came to religion. He has said: "You're not given a decision of what religion you want. Your parents just give it to you...I feel like religion is more about separation and judgment than bringing people together and understanding."
Kanye's sentiments toward religion have caused some controversy from posing as Jesus on the cover of Rolling Stone to telling journalists in New Zealand that: "No! I don't wanna fuckin' be Christ-like. I want to be me-like."
