Details of Christina Grimmie's Death Revealed at Her Funeral: She Greeted Her Killer with Open Arms

Today, friends and family bid farewell to the alum of The Voice's Christina Grimmie. Grimmie's funeral took place at the Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford, New Jersey which included both a viewing and a memorial. The funeral service was a Christ-exalting service so appropriate of Grimmie's faith.
Grimmie's mother Tina became overwhelmed with emotion in the service. "To anybody who says that I'm strong," she said, "I want you to know that I'm the weakest person here and I declare my dependence on Jesus Christ because I don't have anything else. It's just so much..."
On June 10, 2016, Grimmie was shot by 27-year-old Kevin James Loibl while she signed autographs following her performance with Before You Exit at The Plaza Live in Orlando, Florida. Loibl then fatally shot himself after being tackled by Grimmie's brother Marcus.
The singer was rushed to the Orlando Regional Medical Center. According to an employee at the hospital, Christina died shortly after she was brought to the ER. On Saturday, the Orlando Police Department released the name and driver's license photo of the 27-year-old shooter, Kevin James Loibl of St. Petersburg, Florida.
Her brother Marcus told mourners he still couldn't comprehend the tragedy. "I don't have anything to say, I don't have words still and it's a good and bad thing," he said according to E News. "All I'm going to say is thank God for the mark that she left on this world. Thanks mum and dad, I know it's going to be really tough for us to move forward."
Nevertheless, Marcus did give details about the moments before Grimmie's death. "All the rumours are true that when the gunman came...her arms were open," Marcus said in a tribute to his sister, a former Voice contestant. "That's how she treated everyone she knew, her arms were open for them. So thanks again for coming out you guys, and I love you Christina."
Some co-workers claim Loibl turned vegan and underwent hair transplants and laser eye surgery in an attempt to impress her. The singer's death has sparked questions about the adequacy of security at concerts and post-performance meet-and-greets.
A video tribute was posted on the singer's official Twitter and YouTube page along with the following message: "Christina Grimmie was taken from all of us far too soon, but the impact she had on this world in the short 22 years of her life will carry on forever" and "In loving memory Christina Grimmie...We all love you."
In the video, Grimmie urges her fans to be true to themselves. "I'm doing what I'm doing because of you," she says.
