'Gone Girl' 2014 Movie Trailer Released Starring Ben Affleck, Watch Here (VIDEO)
David Fincher's new movie Gone Girl has released a short trailer unveiling a new look at the upcoming drama/thriller film that is set to open this Fall (watch the trailer above).
The film stars Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne, who is a man accused of murdering his wife (Rosamund Pike) after she goes missing on their fifth anniversary. "I did not kill my wife," he can be heard saying in a chilling voiceover in the trailer. "I am not a murderer," he claims.
The movie is the big-screen adaptation of Gillian Flynn's novel, however Flynn told her former employer, Entertainment Weekly, that she rewrote the book's controversial ending at Fincher's request for the film. Gone Girl also stars Tyler Perry, Scoot McNairy, Missi Pyle and Patrick Fugit. Neil Patrick Harris ("How I Met Your Mother") also will play Desi Collings and it will be interesting to see him in a more dramatic role. The film will open in theaters on October 3, 2014.
Gone Girl will be scored by Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor and his frequent collaborator Atticus Ross. The pair have previously scored two films for Fincher - 2010's The Social Network and 2011's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. The movie is produced by Leslie Dixon, Bruna Papandrea, Reese Witherspoon and Cean Chaffin and was made on a $50 million budget.
Producer David Fincher is known for his work on Se7en and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, among others. Ben Affleck is also gearing up to star as batman alongside Henry Cavill and Zack Synder in Man of Steel 2, which is tentatively called Batman vs Superman and is reported to begin filming soon.
