Reba McEntire’s Jesus Calling Podcast Goes Live on iTunes and JesusCalling.com

One of the most acclaimed and respected entertainers today, Reba McEntire, has successfully navigated an illustrious career across music, acting, business and philanthropy. The Country Music Hall of Fame and Grand Ole Opry member is a multi-platinum, GRAMMY-winning recording artist who grew up singing with her family at church in Oklahoma.Reba is also the most recent guest on the Jesus Calling podcast, available for download today (2/2) on iTunes, Stitcher, and many other platforms. Audiences will hear about Reba's beliefs and the inspiration behind her double-disc album, SING IT NOW: SONGS OF FAITH & HOPE (Nash Icon Records and Capitol Christian Music Group), due out tomorrow (2/3).
"I am delighted that Reba took the time to participate in the Jesus Calling podcast and share her faith journey," said Sarah Young, author of Jesus Calling. "Reba is such a remarkably talented, godly Christian woman! It's exciting, humbling, and encouraging to see that God has used this devotional to give her comfort and hope."
During the interview, Reba shares how time and time again Jesus Calling has helped her throughout various circumstance and how her faith has sustained - and guided - her through life's trials.
"It must have been when Jesus Calling first came out, but fans were giving me that book and friends were giving me that book," Reba said. "I'd open it up on the day and I'd think, 'How did that book know that I needed that message today?' At first, it seemed like the strangest thing, but Jesus Calling is incredible. I've got Jesus Always too, and I go back and forth reading both. The passages are short and don't take a lot of time...to start your day like that is just so encouraging."
The collaboration between Big Machine Label Group and the Jesus Calling team was a natural fit, as well.
"Reba's passion for her faith is something that her fans have known about for years, and will be even more evident when people hear SING IT NOW," said Jim Weatherson, general manager of NASH Icon Records (an imprint under the Big Machine Label Group umbrella). "The passionate following Jesus Calling has made it an ideal partnership."
The first single from SING IT NOW, "Back to God," has quickly captured listeners' attention, with the video ascending to the No. 1 spot on iTunes Top Videos across all genres and dominating the pinnacle spot on the Vevo Country Top 10 chart, eliciting over 2.7 million views to date.
"We know that Reba is beloved by Jesus Calling readers, and after hearing her experience with the devotional, it's clear that even more lives will be impacted by her words and her songs," said Michael Aulisio, vice president of marketing for gift books at Thomas Nelson.
