Watch Rory Feek’s First Public Performance Since Joey Feek’s Death

It has been more than a year since the death of Joey Feek when she lost her battle to cancer. Her husband Rory Feek had no intentions to sing again. But when he saw a church group singing one of Joey + Feek's songs, he took out his guitar and started playing again. On May 20, Rory Feek made his first public appearance on CBS This Morning since his wife's death.
Rory Feek perform an unreleased song entitled "I Like the Sound of That." It was the last song that he and his wife sang together. Feek co-wrote "I Like the Sound of That," which talks about a couple's future together, in 2003 with Billy Falcon. Feek's performance of the song is an emotional one: At one point, as he sings "You say you see it all so clear / We're gonna laugh and cry some tears ...," he has to stop to pull himself together to continue the song.
In the year since Joey Feek's death, her husband has written a book about their relationship and released a documentary honoring her. Rory Feek also helped to get his wife's 2005 solo album re-released, but he says he's really not sure what's next.
"I don't know yet what's down the road, but I'm thinking about it. I'm really thinking about it for the first time," Feek says. "And I'm staying pretty open to the possibilities. I haven't been very open to the possibilities."
