Reba McEntire Talks About Her CMT Awards Nominated "Back to God" Video

Grammy Award winner and country music icon Reba McEntire recently released her first Christian music album Sing It Now. The album was preceded by the powerful Randy Houser-penned lead single "Back to God.""Back to God" was nominated for female video of the year at Wednesday night's CMT Music Awards and speaking with Billboard, she said it was "very sweet" to be recognized for that song.
"The first time I ever heard it was in 2008. Randy Houser wrote it, recorded it, I fell in love with it and I said, 'Man, I would love to redo that song someday,'" she said on the red carpet. "And here we are in 2017 recording a gospel album and I thought, 'Wow, I gotta do that song.' And then we chose it as a single and got to do a video on it and here we are now nominated."
The Country Music Hall of Fame and Grand Ole Opry member has won 15 American Music Awards, 13 ACM Awards, nine People's Choice Awards, seven CMA Awards and two Grammy Awards in addition to several prestigious leadership, humanitarian and milestone honors. As part of the longest-running Country act in The Colosseum's history, REBA, BROOKS & DUNN: Together In Vegas will return to Caesars in February 2017. She is also an acclaimed actress with 11 movie credits to her name, a prominent role on Broadway and starred in the six-season television sitcom Reba.
