Mike Fisher Thanks God & Fans for Their Support After Carrie Underwood's Fall

Husband of country music superstar Carrie Underwood, Mike Fisher expresses his gratitude to both God and Underwood's fans for their support in the wake of his wife's recent fall. Carrie Underwood had an accident at her Tennessee home last week (Nov. 10) that resulted in surgery on her broken wrist. She's doing well in her recovery.
"Thank you all for the tremendous love and support for Carrie over the last few days," Fisher writes on Instagram on Thursday (Nov. 16). "I'm reminded that there are so many good people in this world. I'm reminded that through our pain, fears and tough times God is with us and He's painting a beautiful story through it all (Romans 8:28). Sometimes it's hard to understand why things happen but we thank him and Praise His name in the midst of it all! Thanks again!!"
Underwood underwent surgery on Tuesday (Nov. 14), and in a tweet the country star says she's doing great and is grateful for the medical staff, family and friends who've been taking care of her. "All went well," she says, "even though I'll be setting off airport metal detectors from now on."
Carrie Underwood has never been shy about her Christian faith. Many of her songs such as "Jesus Take the Wheel," "How Great Thou Art," and "Something in the Water" express her faith explicitly. Recently, Underwood even scored a #1 on the Christian chart with "Something in the Water."
