Kanye West Pays Tribute to Chick-fil-A with New Video "Closed on Sunday"
Kanye West has decided to pay tribute Chick-fil-A by with his new video "Closed on Sunday." Chick-fil-A famously is not open on Sundays for a day of "rest and worship," according to the company website. The new video was released on Thanksgiving Day.
The song centers on family and faith and West is seen at one point dropping to his knees in prayer. The music video was directed by Jake Schreier in Wyoming where West recently purchased a ranch.
Speaking about the song at Joel Olsteen's megachurch in Houston recently, Kanye said: "It's talking about protecting your kids from the indoctrination of the media, the thousands and thousands of images that are fed to children by the age of six or seven." He continued: "Within those images, there are images mixed in that we don't know about as parents that are purposely mixed in, to lower the kid's superpower and esteem."
The song is a single from his "Jesus Is King" album which debutted at #1 on Billboard's Christian, Gospel, R&B and Top 200 album charts.
