Nicole Richie stops by ABC's "Good Morning America" to talk about her new reality show "Candidly Nicole". She also appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Monday night (July 7) in New York City. You can watch Nicole's full interview above.
The 32-year-old shared with host Robin Roberts about her upcoming show, "The show is based off of my Twitter, and really, how I use Twitter is I use it to laugh. To make fun of myself and explore things I don't real know anything about."
When asked what she wanted people to take away from the show, she shared, "I hope people just have a good time and take that feeling of wanting to escape and just have fun, but also walking away knowing different things (from the show). I am the bunt of the joke and we can all walk away having fun doing it."
Nicole Richie (daughter of singer Lionel Richie) first came into the national spotlight on the Fox reality television series, "The Simple Life", alongside her childhood best friend Paris Hilton. The show was a huge hit for the Fox, premiering with 13 million viewers and brought Richie and Hilton to international recognition. Richie has starred as one of the three mentors on NBC's "Fashion Star".
Richie got married to musician Joel Madden (Good Charlotte, The Madden Brothers) on December 11, 2010 after four years of dating. They have two children together: daughter, Harlow Winter Kate Madden (born 2008) and son Sparrow James Midnight Madden (born 2009). Richie and Madden founded "The Richie Madden Children's Foundation" in 2010.
You can check out the premiere of "Candidly Nicole" when it airs on Thursday night, July 17th at 10/9c on VH1.
