iPhone 6 Apple Release Date 2014, Price, Specs Latest 4.7 Inch Screen? See Here (VIDEO)
As everyone waits for Apple to unveil the new iPhone 6 this Fall, new leaks are coming out every day. The latest is the news of a potentially larger screen of 4.7 (diagonally) compared to the current iPhone of 4 inches. This has not been made official by Apple, but Marques Brownlee has posted a video showing the rumored new iPhone 6 display screen. You can check out the video above.
Marques Brownlee also shares in the video that the new screen is made of "sapphire crystal glass," which is in line with Apple and their plan to go to a full sapphire display. They currently use it to cover camera lenses on iPhones and iPads and the home button on the current iPhone. Apple has built a new factory in Arizona that is being used to manufacture sapphire glass, so this pretty much seals the deal that the phone will have sapphire glass.
Brownlee explained that he received the display in the video from popular Apple leaker Sonny Dickson. Dickson has a track record of leaking photos of several Apple products, including the iPad 5 and several iPhone models.
"When I get it in the mail and open up the package, it's pretty easy to tell if it's a fake or something someone made," he said to the LA times. "It's pretty clear to me that this is an Apple part." So Brownlee seems convinced of it's authenticity.
Apple will be releasing their highly anticipated iPhone 6 this Fall (September/October) and competing for best smartphone of 2014 as they will be competing with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 that will release around the same time in September/October.
The iPhone 6 could raise the price by as much as $100 to cover a larger screen, new glass covering the front and new, more impressive, materials used in construction. The iPhone 5S is currently $649-849 for contract free phones depending on storage space and $199-399 with a new 2 year-contract.
The iPhone 6 will come with atleast 64 bit architecture as A8 processor. The iPhone 6 will also comes with next extended version of iOS 8. It will have a 4.7 inch screen and possibily a 5.5 inches screen as well with 2K resolution based screen and protected by Sapphire glass covering. The iPhone 6 may not increase the MP, leaving it at 8MP. But there are expected to at least be subtle improvements to please the user.
The iPhone 5S already comes with fingerprint scanner, so its successor, the iPhone 6 will of course hold this feature as well. The Apple iPhone 6 will come with upp to 128GB internal storage or expandable storage, heart rate EarPods, a NFC chip, wireless charging compatibility with Apple's rumoured iWatch and Sapphire glass and LiquidMetal design. Reports are the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will be 66mm wide and 7.0mm thick (the 5S is 58.6 x 7.6mm).
