Is Colbie Caillat's "Try" a Modern Day Parable of 1 Timothy 2:9-10?

Is Grammy Award-winning, singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat's latest video "Try" a modern day parable of 1 Timothy 2:9-10? In the Bible, the Apostle Paul teaches (in 1 Timothy 2:9 -10) that "I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God. "
Lifted from her newly released EP, Gypsy Heart Side A, the lead single "Try" makes a powerful statement about beauty ideals. The video starts up close and personal with the singer-songwriter. She is all made up and perfectly polished, without a hair out of place. But as the video progresses, the Caillat ditches that look little by little - removing her hair extensions and taking off her makeup. This all happens while she sings "Try." The song will hopefully help women - especially teenager girls-- realize that the true beauty of women resides not in her appearance but in who she is in Jesus Christ.
"When I see gorgeous models and singers and they look perfect on their album covers," says Caillat, it makes me want to look like that, too, and it makes me feel like if I don't Photoshop my skin on my album cover, I'm the one who's going to look a little off and everyone else is going to look perfect. And that's what everyone is used to seeing."
