Jeff Stice Suffers a Major Neck and Spinal Cord Injury

Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductee Jeff Stice has suffered a major injury on August 28th. Jeff had been batting COVID-19 and he became severely dehydrated. On the morning of August 28th, Jeff passed out, with the full weight of his body crashing into a wall breaking his neck and severely injuring his spinal cord.
Jeff was airlifted from his home in Brownsville, KY to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. The surgeons began immediate emergency surgery to save his life and in hopes of preventing longterm paralysis. Jeff is completely alert and is able to communicate via speaker phone with his wife Stacey who is staying in a nearby hotel.
Stacey informs, "At this point I feel I need to express the seriousness of Jeff's condition. I only do this in hopes that the prayers never cease. My faith is strong, and I know that God hears my cries.I did not get to talk to him yesterday...it was a very long day.I was finally able to hear his voice around 4 this morning. Although his voice was weak...his spirit is strong.
He asked...."Does everyone know I won't be down long"? I assured him we are all on board with that.To clarify exactly what happened to my best friend....Jeff was very weak due to Covid. He began feeling bad on Thursday. By Saturday morning he became so weak that he passed out. The injury being the result. Although he did suffer injuries to his face....his head is fine. He has no injuries to his brain. He suffered a significant break in his neck, and he has significant spinal cord injuries."
The need is great as you can imagine and timeline for his recovery is unknown, although we understand it to be very lengthy. Jeff and Stacey are just beginning a long road and they need our immediate and continual love, prayers, and support. This injury will greatly impact their livelihood and in full transparency Jeff did not have health insurance.
Your help will greatly be appreciated and please understand Jeff is not asking but we his friends and gospel music family are asking on his behalf. He needs us right now! Jeff has blessed so many and now it is time to express how thankful we are for him and that he is not alone!
