Lauren Daigle Opens Up About 9/11 and Recording with CeCe Winans

Grammy Award winner Lauren Daigle has taken the time to reflect on 9/11. It has been twenty years since four coordinated terrorist attacks by the militant Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda were launched against the US. It was the start of the deadliest terror attack on US soil. The attacks resulted in 2,977 fatalities, over 25,000 injuries, and substantial long-term health consequences, in addition to at least $10 billion in infrastructure and property damage. Christian artists have taken the time to reflect on this event.
Daigle reflects, "To those who died that day, to those who lost their lives in efforts to save, to the brave men and women who fought to protect our country, to the families and friends who lost a loved one, we honor you today. #neverforget
It amazes me how our country came together in unity to support those going over seas, to support those reeling from tragedy, to support and love their neighbor. I remember American flags flying on homes, being clipped on the windows of cars. Anywhere and everywhere a yellow ribbon could be displayed, it was. I remember seeing our neighbors nailing large yellow ribbons on their trees. It breaks my heart to see where our nation has gone.
Patriotism is not impartial. It's simply acknowledging the heroic efforts to remain free. Division will NOT have the final word. May today remind us how profound unity can be and afford us a moment to stop, ponder, and question how to build unity into the fabric of our nation once again. United, we stand. Divided, we fall. May God bless all of those impacted by this day and may reflection be in our processing of these events."
Meanwhile, Daigle has joined CeCe Winans for a powerful rendition of Winans #1 hit "Believe For It," available now. The fan-favorite song about belief and trust is completely re-imagined as Daigle and Winans combine their illustrious vocals.
Daigle reveals, "Working with the incomparable @cecewinans was an absolute joy! CeCe - you exude grace and excellence, and I'm so grateful to have gotten this opportunity to sing with you "Believe For It" is available now, wherever you find music."
Winans says, "Having Lauren record 'Believe For It' with me was a joy. This song touches every generation, and having Lauren join me will help spread the powerful message of faith even further."
