Avicii New Album 2014 Features Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong & Wyclef Jean, Shares Coldplay's Chris Martin is 'Like a Brother'
Popular Swedish DJ, Avicii is working on a new album and it will feature some interesting collaborations. He has been in the studio with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, Jon Bon Jovi, Serj Tankian (System Of A Down) and Wyclef Jean.
He is also working on a song with Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong called "No Pleasing A Woman", and a reggae duet featuring Wyclef Jean and Matisyahu.
The 24-year-old shared with RollingStone.com, "Chris has been like a brother. He helps out with my nutritionist." The two have worked together before with Avicii co-producing Coldplay's song "A Sky Full Of Stars".
He spoke on working in the studio with Chris, "He needs every part to be perfect. I'm not like that. Which is why I've got 70 songs."
Coldplay is reaching new heights with their latest album Ghost Stories. It has become the world-famous pop/rock band's the fastest selling album of 2014. The album was named as the band's sixth consecutive Number One album by the Official Charts Company, after selling 168,000 copies in its first week since its release (May 19). Altogether, the band have sold 11.1 million albums in the UK since the release of their debut, 2000's 'Parachutes'.
Coldplay formed in 1996 and became known worldwide with their hit single "Yellow" in 2000. Their debut album Parachutes including the hit single won the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album.
Avicii ranked 3rd on DJ Magazine's annual Top 100 DJs in 2012 and 2013, and has been nominated twice for a Grammy Award for his work on "Sunshine" with David Guetta in 2012 and for his song "Levels" in 2013. Some of his most famous songs are "Wake Me Up" , "Hey Brother" and "Addicted to You" .
