Out of the Dust Offers Hope with New 6-Song EP "The After"

Out of the Dust, which comprises of husband-and-wife duo, Chris and Stephanie Teague, is back with their brand new 6-song EP The After. These songs are created to bring the listener hope. One of the EP's prime cuts is the song "Rest." This track is a prayer and a plea that acknowledges the fact that fear and anxiety are real and life often isn't how we want it to be. Yet in the midst of all of that, we can still look up to what God can do.
The couple write, "So many of you have been walking in hard seasons or feel stuck in a pattern of waiting. Us too. So, we pray that what you'll hear the loudest as you listen through these songs is that there is rest in the "both-ands" of this life:We can both suffer AND grow.Life can be both devastating AND beautiful. We can both mourn AND rejoice. We pray these songs will encourage you, challenge you, and bring you joy (y'all, we've had many a dance party with our kids to some of these."
Out of the Dust further reveal that these songs came from a personal place in their lives. "These 6 songs are some of our favorites we've ever written. Our friends tell us it's our best work yet and if that's true, then there's a reason... they are some of our most brutally honest songs ever. The last 2 years have been the toughest we've faced since our marriage blew apart a decade ago, and you'll hear the wrestling throughout the lyrics."
Tracklist:
1. Pity Party
2. Fall Back in Love
3. Rest
4. The After
5. Idol
6. Stay
"The core of our name Out of the Dust is so deeply tied to who we are and what we came from and what God brought us through," says Chris. "Our marriage, our relationship together, was nothing. It was reduced to dust and ash. But just like God breathed life into the dust of the earth and created Adam, he breathed life back into us and allows us to do what we do and to sing about that journey. We feel called to give people a glimpse of the hope that we've been given. A hope that's available to them as well."
Overcoming impossible odds seems to be a way of life for Chris and Stephanie. The two 30-somethings tour the country (with their two young children!) carrying a message that has resonated with listeners across generational, racial, and geographic borders. The message is simply this... nothing is ever too lost and no one is ever too far gone.
