NEEDTOBREATHE's Bo Rinehart Announces Upcoming Solo Album

NEEDTOBREATHE's Bo Rinehart announces today that he will be releasing a solo album under the name "Coy Roy." This will be his first project since he announced he was leaving the band in August 2020.
"It's been two years since I walked away. I can't wait to share my journey with you and what I've learned from my lessons in the dark," Bo posted on Instagram along with a reel featuring a snippet of his upcoming song, "I'm Right Here." "I didn't have a plan. Nothing was in the works. I didn't leave to pursue making art. I've always made art. I didn't need to leave the band or my livelihood, my identity, or bandmates for that matter, in order to continue doing what I've always done."
"I had no plans on giving up the making of music," Bo continued. "Music has saved my life at times. I am so grateful for music and writing, and making music is something that I don't think I could live without."
Rinehart has been the guitarist, banjo player and mandolin player of Needtobreathe. He and the band have released a number of chart-topping albums and taken home a slew of Dove Awards, including awards for Group of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year.
