Rachael Lampa Welcomes the Birth of Her New Son

Contemporary Christian artist Rachael Lampa and her husband Brendan McCarthy are happy to announce the birth of their son Leo Kai McCarthy. Leo was born on October 21st. Both mother and child are well.
Lampa writes, "And our whole world begins again. Friday morning at 12:30am, this little wonder took measures into his own hands and decided it was time for him to meet us. In his own, unexpected way, Leo Kai McCarthy came out swinging and has been nothing but the sweetest little nugget biscuit face. So beyond thankful and stupid in love. Consider yourself warned about all the baby spam coming your way."
Earlier this year, Lampa returned with her latest single "Perfectly Loved" which features harmonies with her longtime friend, Tobymac. "Proud to be a guest on this with my longtime friend @rachaellampa ," says Tobymac on Instagram. "She's a LEGIT vocalist/artist but more importantly an absolutely LEGIT person. The song is so special. Thanks for having me, it's truly an honor!"
At age 15, Lampa rose to fame and critical acclaim in 2000 with the release of her debut album, Live for You. The album became a huge hit, spawning four number one singles and winning a Dove Award for the number one hit "Blessed." She was invited to sing at World Youth Day in Rome with Luis Fonsi, a song she originally recorded as a duet with Aaron Neville for his record. She has also toured with Stacie Orrico, Amy Grant, Vince Gill, Destiny's Child, Boyz II Men, Michael W. Smith, Switchfoot, and TobyMac, among others.
