"House of Cards " Creator Beau Willimon Reveals Major Spoilers for 2014's Season Three, Including the Fate of Doug Stamper, the Right Hand Man of New President Frank Underwood

"House of Cards" Creator Beau Willimon Reveals Major Spoilers for Season Three, Including the Fate of Doug Stamper, the Right Hand Man of New President Frank Underwood
Netflix original series "House of Cards" creator Beau Willimon recently revealed some very troubling news about the events of the show's upcoming third season. Although cast and production are keeping their mouths shut about the details of season three, Willimon did reveal a few juicy tidbits about season 3.
As fans of the show will know, season 2 ended in a major cliffhanger, with Doug Stamper chasing Rachel Posner into the woods. However, Posner managed to get behind Stamper and bash him in the head with a rock, leaving fans stunned and wondering if Stamper would survive to season 3.
Willimon stated that it was "pretty evident" that Stamper would not feature in season 3, and that his questionable survival was just a plot device for fans. Posner, on the other hand, will play a major role in season 3, and her character's plot will be continued.
Since Frank Underwood was just sworn in as president in season two, Stamper's death will have a major effect on the events of the third season. Because Stamper was Underwood's right hand, it is questionable who will complete the dirty work now. Doug Stamper was invaluable to Underwood, as he was responsible for carrying out acts of murder and blackmail for the presidential candidate.
"House of Cards" season 3 has no official release date, but it is said to consist of 13 episodes. We can expect to see the third season sometime next year.
