Tim Riley of Gold City Quartet to be inducted into the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame
Bass singer Tim Riley of Southern Gospel formation Gold City Quartet will be inducted into the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
Ceremonies will be held on October 2nd, 2013 in conjunction with the Singing News Fan Awards at Dollywood.
In the days and weeks to come, Gold City Quartet plans to talk more about this lifetime achievement.

Members of the formation are Tim Riley – Bass, Daniel Riley – Baritone, Jerry Pelfrey – Lead, Bryan Elliott – Piano, and Chuck Howe - Driver/Sound.
Tim Riley was born and raised in Gadsden, AL. Riley was heavily influenced by his father who was a choir director at the church.
When Riley was 14 years old he was part of FFA Quartet which performed at school and church in the local area.
After his graduation he joined Wally Fowler as part of the Gadsden Harmoneers. Later on he took the place in The Dixie Echoes.
In 1980 he helped form Gold City where he solidified his spot in Southern Gospel Music with his rich bass voice.
