The Hoppers Partner with Gaither Music for Latest Christmas Release

Fresh off their win at the 2023 Gospel Music DOVE Awards, beloved family group The Hoppers have returned with their collection of Christmas favorites titled Why Don't We Sing It Again. Available now as a digital release via Gaither Music, the album has the GMA Hall of Famers celebrating the holidays with such standards as "O Holy Night," "Silent Night," "Silver Bells" and "Little Drummer Boy," as well as a new rendition of their hit "Mary Wrapped a Present to the World." The triumphant arrangements, together with their signature harmonies, create a beautiful soundtrack for the Christmas season.
"The Hoppers capture the true heart of Christmas in this recording," says GRAMMY-nominated producer Wayne Haun. "If you close your eyes, you can picture yourself in Bethlehem. You can hear the voices of the angels singing 'Glory to God in the highest.' But you can also picture yourself sitting in the middle of the group's living room with a cup of hot chocolate, singing along with some of the greatest singers ever. They make you feel like family."
The Hoppers have been singing to global audiences for over 60 years, with appearances ranging from presidential religious inaugural ceremonies and New York's Carnegie Hall to singing conventions and church platforms. They have performed throughout the United States as well as in Israel, Europe and Africa. Known as "America's Favorite Family of Gospel Music," they are regulars on the Gaither Homecoming videos and tours; and their recordings frequently land at the top of the Billboard sales charts and The Singing News radio charts.
The group is currently comprised of Claude and Connie Hopper; son Dean and his wife, Kim; son Mike; and Dean and Kim's daughter Karlye. The Hoppers were formed in 1957 in Madison, NC, and have grown continuously for decades, touching countless lives around the world.
After the group's 2022 album Believe won the 2023 DOVE Award for Southern Gospel Album of the Year, Dean Hopper said, "This recording marked the first time our new line-up sang everything on an album, and it was the first time that all six of us were involved in picking out the songs and determining the production and visual elements for it. This award has rekindled our excitement about what the future holds!"
Now these legends follow up that triumph with an irresistible set of songs dedicated to the real spirit of Christmas. Why Don't We Sing It Again will be featured on the Christmas Spirit programming on Gaither Radio on Pandora, Gaither Radio on Amazon, the Gaither Amazon storefront, the Front Porch Country Gospel Christmas Collection on Apple Music, the Gaither Music Facebook page (over 2M followers) and the Gaither Music TV YouTube page (over 3M followers). The album is distributed by Capitol Christian Music Group and Universal Music. For more information, visit Gaither.com.
