Jonas Myrin Drops "Made For You," from Upcoming Film "The Hopeful"

Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Jonas Myrin announces the release of his brand new single "Made For You." Written and performed by Myrin specifically for the highly anticipated film, "The Hopeful," the track is available today with an accompanying music video via Re:Think, the distribution and label services division of Capitol CMG. Listen to "Made For You" here and watch the video here.
"The Hopeful" is a heartfelt and compelling historical drama that invites audiences of all ages to imagine how hope can change the world. The upcoming movie will be released in over 900 theaters nationwide on April 17 & 18 in partnership with Fathom Events, Hope Studios and Kyle Portbury Films. "The Hopeful" features a diverse cast and marks the first long form feature from Emmy Award winning and three-time Australian Director's Guild nominated Kyle Portbury.
For a drama set in the 1800s, one of the most unique choices Portbury made was to collaborate with Myrin who has written with renowned artists such as Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, Andrea Bocelli, Natasha Bedingfield and Nicole Scherzinger, among others.
Myrin contributes two original songs, "Hope Is on The Way" and "Made for You" - both written and performed by Myrin specifically for the film. He is also featured in "The Hopeful - Behind The Songs," an exclusive cinema only prelude to the film hosted by Kevin Olusola of Pentatonix and co-host of the Imagine Faith Talk podcast.
"It's been an honor to compose the original songs for Kyle Portbury's visionary new movie," says Myrin. "My aim was to craft a tapestry of hope through music and lyrics, echoing the film's empowering and profound message of finding faith in the midst of adversity. My hope is that these songs inspire audiences to find resilience and courage in their own journeys."
Adds Portbury, "'Made for You' was an incredibly collaborative experience with this beautiful original song becoming a key theme expression of Ellen's journey."
