Shaylee Simeone Releases "Image of Me"

Shaylee Simeone's latest single, "Image of Me," was released on May 2, 2025, under Lula Street Records. This track showcases her signature blend of indie pop and worship music, reflecting her commitment to creating songs that are both spiritually resonant and musically engaging. The single was produced by Chad Carouthers and is available on major streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music .
Simeone writes, "This song makes me both excited and nervous to put out into the world. It is my slightly sarcastic way of presenting some hard questions and tough truths to fellow believers in the form of an honest prayer. We are made in God's image, but ever since the fall, we've been trying our best to make God in the image of us.
"Ultimately I think it's a good thing to ask questions, to dive deeper into our faith and want to sift through some things we may have learned about God that are unhealthy or untrue. But sometimes, we can tumble so deep down into the rabbit hole that we start to put together our own version of God, apart from scripture and apart from his Spirit.
"It is hard and uncomfortable to try and look like Jesus did. He was despised and rejected and countercultural. It is much easier to try to mold Him into our own comfy worldview and lifestyle. I think everybody does it on some level, every group every denomination every party. We all want the ultimate say on how we think God should/would act."
Simeone, a Nashville-based singer-songwriter and worship leader, has been active in the Christian music scene since her debut single "Dearly Loved" in 2019. She has since garnered millions of streams across platforms and is known for her heartfelt lyrics and congregational-friendly melodies.
"Image of Me" continues her exploration of faith and identity, inviting listeners to reflect on their own spiritual journeys. The song is part of her ongoing efforts to produce music that resonates with both personal devotion and communal worship settings.
You can listen to "Image of Me" on Spotify or watch the official audio on YouTube.
