Avatar 3 Release Date, Reveals and Spoilers: Director James Cameron Supposedly Working on Final Drafts of Sequels, While Filming to be Done in Los Angeles
The release date for Avatar 3 has not yet been disclosed yet and production has not even began but, going towards that direction according to director Cameron. The second installment of the franchise should hit theatres in Christmas of 2016 and the third a year after that. The fourth movie will be in 2018. The Avatar which debuted in 2009 was so successful that it has encouraged the making of a franchise and as expected by the fans, James Cameron has embarked on a spree that has seen the planning for the production of Avatar 2 which has already been slated for a 2016 release date. The first Avatar film grossed about 750 million dollars at the box office and it can only be hoped that the sequels will ride on that glory provided they live up the reputation of the first film.
At the same time, the graphics technology has advanced several eons which should make movie production and special effects much better and easier. One of the cast, Zoe Saldana stated that the director is still working on the final drafts of the script and then everyone that is part of the cast is going to get a call on what to do next. Apparently, they are going to shoot the movie in los Angeles which actually makes things better for her because she lives there and they are going to the 3 films back to back apparently, which is supposed to take somewhere up to nine months. Even if the filmed heavily upon graphics and special effects, that in itself will be quite a feat and I doubt that with everything applied will be successful considering the magnitude of the films themselves individually.
However, director Cameron seems to be putting out all the stops. He has enlisted the help of 2 writers to help him with the scripts of the third and the fourth installments. They are Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver who will also be working closely with Shan
e Salerno and they will be working for the third and fourth movies. Apparently, in writing the new sequel to the first, Cameron came to realize that the new worlds and characters that he was creating had such rich stories that they could not be exhausted by the second movie.
