Justin Bieber Booed At Billboard Music Awards Before Milestone Award Speech

Justin Bieber was greeted with a mixture of boos and cheers when he walked up to the podium to accept the fan-voted Milestone Award at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night.
In response to the boos Bieber said in a speech, "I'm 19 years old; I think I'm doing a pretty good job. And basically from my heart I really just want to say it should really be about the music, it should be about the craft that I'm making. This is not a gimmick. I'm an artist and I should be taken seriously and all this other bull should not be spoken of." according to CBS News.
"I wanna thank my manager, Scooter Braun. I wanna thank my family at home. I wanna thank my mother, my father, I wanna thank Jesus Christ. Mom, I love you so much. Dad, I love you. Little brother and sister, I love you so much. Thank you guys so much. Fans, you're incredible," he added.
The Latin Times suggests that the boos likely stemmed from Bieber's routine tardiness to a large number of recent concerts, as well as some of the even more awkward moments that he has faced as a young man in the spotlight.
Bieber was a multiple winner with three separate awards, including Top Male Artist, Social Artist and the Milestone Award, the Christian Science Monitor reports. He took the stage twice during the evening singing a solo rendition of his song, 'Take You,' and joining will.i.am on stage to perform 'That Power.'
After the ceremony, Bieber tweeted, "I love music, my fans, my family, my friends.. And I love The Lord."
Meanwhile, at the awards Bieber was upstaged by Taylor Swift who took home eight different awards including Top Artist and Top Billboard 200 Album for her newest album 'Red,' according to Fox News. During her speech, she told the crowd, "You are the longest and best relationship I ever had."
According to E!Online, Bieber and Gomez were reunited backstage at the Billboard Music Awards and shared a kiss on the cheek while Swift looked on in apparent disgust.
