Amy Grant Dances to the Top of the Charts with Her Remix Album

Six-time GRAMMY® winner Amy Grant is dancing on the top of the charts with the recent release of her first remix album "In Motion: The Remixes." The album has catapulted to the Top 5 of Billboard's Electronic Albums Chart. Following the album's release last week, it peaked at No. 1 on Amazon's Best Dance Pop list and Top 10 on iTunes Pop Albums chart. Not stopping there, the Dave Audé remix of her No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 single from 1991, "Baby, Baby," is back in a big way, currently at No. 4 this week on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart and climbing.
"In Motion: The Remixes" finds some of the music industry's greatest producers and DJs such as Chris Cox, Tony Moran, Moto Blanco, 7th Heaven, and Dave Aude taking up the task of giving nine out of Grant's favorite songs updated and remix treatments. In our Hallels review of Amy's latest remix lbum, this is what we have to say: "Unlike many remix projects where songs can be so distorted that they sound like endless mechanical rantings, here the treatments are done with class, thought and care."
In addition to her remix album, Amy Grant readies to release yet another Christmas effort on September 30, 2014 entitled "Icon Christmas." This new addition to the Icon series showcases Amy Grant's Christmas catalog and features 11 songs, including, "Breath Of Heaven (Mary's Song)," "Grown Up Christmas List," and "Tennessee Christmas." She will also be singing with her hubby Vince Gill and Guy Penrod her signature hit "Tennessee Christmas," which will be available on Penrod's forthcoming album.
