Ariana Grande album 'My Everything' tops Billboard 200 chart making it her second in a year
Arianators better pull out the champagne as Ariana Grande had done the most remarkable feat in her music career as of to date!
21-year old Ariana Grande is a force to be reckoned with as Billboard announced recently that her second and latest album, "My Everything" made it to No.1 in the Billboard 200 making it her second No.1 in just a year.
Grande's album beat the likes of Brad Paisley's Moonshine in the Trunk, 5 Seconds of Summer and Wiz Khalifa's Blacc Hollywood. The album has beaten the top ranking soundtracks of Frozen and Guardians of the Galaxy.
According to Nielsen Soundscan, My Everything, which was released last August 25, sold up to 169,000 copies in its first week giving the album the second-largest sales week for a female pop artist in 2014. The first was Lana Del Rey's Ultraviolence which sold 182,000 copies when it was released.
What tops the cake is that the album itself received raves from critics and is now one of the few women (namely one of the four women in the world) whose three singles have made it to the top ten all at the same time. The songs were "Problem", "Break Free" and "Bang Bang". Such feat has made Grande one of the most highly successful female pop artists of her time. What makes it more special is that the 21-year old pop artist is only a year in the music industry.
Ariana Grande's first and debut album "Yours Truly" also topped the charts as No.1 last year.
