Kim Walker-Smith to release first solo album
Jesus Culture's Kim Walker-Smith is to release her highly anticipated second solo album on 15 January.
Still Believe is her first solo album in five years and features largely original songs, including the Walker-Smith penned title track.
Speaking about the song, she said: “It’s very rare for me to write a song so quickly, but this song just came bursting out as if it was always in there just waiting to come out.
“The message of the song is saying, ‘I still believe that you are the God who heals, despite anything I may be facing or the mountain in my way.’”
Other tracks on the album include "Spirit Break Out", co-written by Tim Hughes, "Waste It All", co-written by Chris McClarney, and her version of Delirious' "Miracle Maker".
The album was recorded live with a full band, including an orchestral strings section, during a worship night at Cascade Theater in Redding, California. Her husband Skyler played guitars and percussion.
Following on from its release, Walker-Smith will launch her “Still Believe” tour on 8 March in San Diego with special guest worship leader, Derek Johnson.
Walker-Smith will share a message from her heart before performing songs from Still Believe.
“The goal of these events is to gather together worshippers to seek the Lord and encounter Him through whole-hearted, passionate worship,” says Banning Liebscher, director of Jesus Culture.
