PewDiePie Youtube Video Commentator News: 'Goodbye Forever Comments' - PewDiePie Bids Farewell to YouTube Comments
PewDiePie got fed up with all the spams, provocations and self-promoting comments that his Youtube videos are getting and wanted to pursue an even better way of communicating and connecting to his whopping 30 million subscribers. This 24 year old Youtube superstar is the most subscribed user of the said platform as of August 22, 2014.
He released his "Goodbye Forever Comments" last August 29 video after having been on a vacation for a week on New Orleans. In the video he explained why he was not doing the Ice Bucket Challenge, but instead he sensibly talked about the disease which could be the worst thing that can happen to anyone.
Felix Kjellberg in real life, Pewdiepie carefully mentioned that he's happy with the way things are working for the ALS and the Ice Bucket Challenge but never really wanted to go with that "gimmick for charity." He then further added he is donating "a thousand dollars, and that's it, no water required." He surely has a way of doing things that could be why he got his 30 million subscribers.
Dealing with a better concern in his video, he was wondering about the level of engagement his followers are having. Pewdiepie said, "I make videos everyday for you bro's, that's my reason of wanting to do this." And with all the clutter he sees on his Youtube video comments field, he can't seem to know what's actually going on with his supporters since they get blocked up by provocations and self-advertisements of viewers in such space.
He said this scenario bothered him a lot and he hoped things would get better with Youtube's efforts. Pewdiepie concluded "It doesn't seem like it... so I'm going to turn the comments off, forever. They're not coming back this time around."
He will be taking things into the right direction by using Twitter hashtags as frequently as he can, then putting up a Reddit so his supporters can stay in touch through tweets. That worked well before with his followers and both sides liked it as well. He closed his video, not with the most exciting tone, but Pewdiepie sincerely felt that this issue needs to be addressed and he sure did!
Here's some of his hilarious video:
