Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Release Date News and Trailer: New Footage Shows a Female Assassin, Quiet
During a special Kojima Station broadcast on the web on Thursday, Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima released some footage for the upcoming Metal Gear V: The Phantom Pain. The footage focuses on one of the new characters of the game named "Quiet," who is a mute assassin.
The footage shows Quiet jumping off a helicopter, and then she activates an invisibility device and lands in Motherbase. She then reveals herself to the stunned soldiers.
The footage, however, is less-than-a-minute long, and doesn't give any more details about the game. Kojima took to Twitter to apologize to the fans and tweeted: "Sorry for the "too-short" sneak preview of MGSV TPP. Pls keep guessing until TGS." He's referring to the Tokyo Game Show that will be held on September 18 up to 21.
Quiet is a character that has been met with some controversy because of her 'risque' appearance -- only wearing somewhat of a bathing suit for her top. Back in September, 2013, Kojima responded to the criticism and responded, "What I'm really trying to do is create unique characters. One of those is, of course, Quiet. She's a really unique character. I wanted to add that sexiness to her. It wasn't really suppose to be erotic but sexy."
Another thing worth mentioning that was shown during Kojima's webcast is that he also posted a picture that teases that there will be a Metal Gear collection for 2014. The details of the upcoming collection, however, have not yet been disclosed, but it is expected that Kojima will go into further detail when they present in the Tokyo Game Show.
