Gwen Stefani is keeping extremely busy these days with her fashion lines and being the newest coach on "The Voice" alongside other newcomer Pharrell Williams. When she was at New York Fashion Week earlier this Summer, she was interviewed by MTV news and shared that she is back in the studio working on new music as well. She is looking to pull double duty and work on a new solo album and No Doubt record. So fans of both projects can be excited to hear that. You can check out the interview above.
"At this point I'm thinking about both, I can do both...and it's just an amazing time; so many opportunities," she explained. Pharrell gushed about being in the studio with Gwen and how the music was sounding sharing, "When I tell you she's killing it, it's another level. Gwen is somewhere else."
Irving Azoff, of Azoff Music Managment and MSG Entertainment (AMSGE) have announced that he is taking over management for Gwen Stefani and No Doubt moving forward. This will be a joint venture between Azoff Management and the Madison Square Garden Company. No Doubt parted ways with Rebel Waltz Management, whom they had been with since 1998.
Azoff has many other famous clients that include the Eagles, Christina Aguilera, Steely Dan, Van Halen, Chelsea Handler, and Cassadee Pope, in addition to the many comics signed with Levity.
No Doubt's successful career has pressed five albums have produced No. 1 hits including "Don't Speak," "Just a Girl," "Hey Baby" and "Underneath It All." Between the band and Gwen's solo career, she has sold nearly 30 million records worldwide.
Stefani's last solo tour in 2007 grossed $31.5 million and sold 672,289 tickets to 57 shows mostly in North America, according to Billboard Boxscore. In 2009, No Doubt reported $22.6 million and nearly 500,000 attendance from 36 shows in North American arenas and amphitheaters, according to Boxscore.
