Mass Effect 4 News, Release Date, Trailer, Gameplay, PS4 And Xbox One Updates: Chilean Website Lists All three Next-Gen Versions Of Mass Effect Games
We have the latest for you on the news, release date, trailer, gameplay, PS4 and Xbox One news of Mass Effect 4. Rumors say that indeed the Mass Effect trilogy is heading to the Xbox One and PS4 this is according to a listing posted by Chilean Zmart Games. The listing was spotted by NeoGAF user 'Rusher-sauce' but it has no solid background in regards to the release dates or prices. Rumors first emerged in March when Aryan Flynn, general manager of Montreal studios and Edmonton general manager of BioWare that the topic of Mass Effect to appear in Xbox One and PS4 was under discussions.
Chilean website listed the Next Gen-versions of all three Mass Effect games, although BioWare and EA are yet to confirm its validity.
If indeed the sci-fi trilogy Mass Effect is under development it will not be the first time a game has been leaked by a retailer. But this is just a rumor it should not be taken as the gospel truth. Either way BioWare are working round the clock to develop the next installment of the franchise though release dates have not been revealed, more updates on the same are due this year. All that has been revealed are a few teaser images.
Mass Effect Trilogy in 2012 was released for Xbox 360, PlayStation three and PC versions and this was the first time the original game was made available on PlayStation three. If the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One Versions of Mass Effect trilogy is made available, the game will be among many last gen upgrades, which includes everything from the Tomb Raider reboot to the recently announced The Last of Us Remastered and the rumored Halo remake due this Christmas.
In regards to the games, they have been ported over largely because of a lack of new titles for their respective consoles; this may suggest that the new Mass Effect game is further away than many had hoped.
A recent Battlefield 4 event in Sweden, DICE showed off gameplay footage from the forthcoming military shooter running on the Frostbite 3 Engine. According to the developer, Frostbite 3 engine would also be the most licensed gameplay engine within EA.
