iPhone 6 Plus vs Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Release Date, Design, Features, Specs, Price: Who is the winner here?
Apple has recently introduced their two new flagship phones with displays of 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch at an event in Cupertino on 9th September. The 5.5-inch phone, or the IPhone 6 Plus caught the most interest.
The IPhone 6 plus brings a giant display to the iPhone series for the very first time. Certainly, customers can't complain about the display size and resolution of iPhone series anymore. Of course, Apple came into the phablet game a bit too late, as Samsung has been on it for years now. It does not help the company that it once dissed big-sized phones. It now has to swallow its words. Still, one can still wonder how it'll stand against Samsung this time.
The iPhone 6 Plus was revealed after Sammobile announced its another masterpiece in large display phone, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Another giant phone from the company, the phone comes with more innovative features than ever. If Galaxy Note 3 amazed many, the Note 4 promises to offer so much more.
This is why it makes sense to compare the IPhone 6 Plus and Samsung Note 4.
One important point of comparison is the price. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is the next big thing in the smartphone world with high tech features and specifications, so it makes sense to have a price tag of £550 including VAT for the 32GB version. Apple, whose products usually err on the expensive side, set the price tag of the iPhone 6 Plus £619 for the 15GB edition. From this vantage point of view, the winner is clear.
Another important point of comparison is their shooting capabilities. While they're not cameras, no one wants to have a phone with lousy cameras anymore. The iPhone 6 Plus introduces a 1.2 MP front camera and 8MP rear camera. Though the camera pixel has remained same as iPhone 5s, the company assures that the feature iSight camera, which has some new additions will make a clear difference. Shooting capabilities will be superb. Camera features like image stabilization, autofocus continuously with video, low light performance were all improved on as well. New addition to the camera is the burst mode in the front facing as well as rear facing camera. Certainly, no one can find fault in these.
On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 contains 16 Mp rear facing camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), auto focus and so many other features. The front facing camera is 3.7 Mp with aperture of 1.9f. On the front is a 3.7Mp camera with an aperture of f1.9.
The iPhone 6 Plus powers with itself with a processor named as A8. It signifies that it is a dual core processor having clock speed/frequency of 1.4 GHz. The processor is supported with 2 GB RAM. On the other hand, Samsung the Galaxy Note 4 provides typical 2.7 GHz Snapdragon processor, which is quad-core 805 along with 3GB RAM.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has tremendous AMOLED display with resolution of 2560 x 1440, while the iPhone 6 Plus has a resolution of 1920 x 1080. Galaxy Note 4 has Android version of OSi v4.4.4 (KitKat), while the iPhone 6 has latest iOS 8.
Obviously, the two phones are neck-to-neck with their capabilities and features. Choosing one all boils down to preference.
