'Windows 9' a New Upcoming Operating System by Windows for PC's, Release Date and other Anticipated News Right Here
Windows 9 is an upcoming operating system being developed by Microsoft as a successor to the previous operating system, "Windows 8" released on October 26, 2012. It is also given the codename "Threshold".
Before its launch, an update of the "Windows 8.1," or the "Windows 8.2" may first be released. This is what happened previously when fans were expecting the so called "Windows Blue" to come out as a succession to the Windows 8, but it turned out only to be an update.
According to rumors and leaked screenshots online, the new platform may provide users with a voice-based personal and intelligent assistance called "Cortana," which is currently available only on the Windows Phone operating system.
It is said that users will probably have the option to either turn the digital assistant on or off.
The leaked screenshots suggest tha the new upcoming PC operating system will have a new and improved Start menu with a colorful design as well as new multi-desktop features. There will also be a new Notification Center placed on the right corner.
These claims were said to have been leaked by one of Microsoft's employees who had an access to the information.
As of now, not much was announced regarding the official release date of Windows 9 by Microsoft, but rumors have it that can be expected by the end of this year 2014, or by early of next year 2015.
A technical Preview of the upcoming platform is also expected to occur before its release.
