Gone Girl is an upcoming film based on the book of the same title by Gillian Flynn. It is rumored to be one of the Oscar contenders in 2015.

Although Flynn said that the movie will deviate from the book, the plot will be basically the same.

Gone Girl revolves around Nick Dunne. The movie becomes interesting when Dunne's wife, Amy, goes missing on their fifth year wedding anniversary. One may think that Gone Girl is just a suspense crime story, but that's not true. The film explores the different aspects of relationship and how, probably, most of the time, we don't really know the people we fall in love with.

The second part of the movie will give new meaning to the term Gone Girl. It is rumored that it will shock the viewers in the most surprising way.

Rosamund Pike, the actress playing Amy Dunne, has opened up about the "inappropriate sex scenes" between her and his co-star Neil Patrick Harris. Harris is playing the role of Amy Dunne's ex-boyfriend Desi Collins. Pike revealed that she and Harris were left alone for two hours to "discuss" the sex scenes.

Pike said, "It was very funny doing [rehearsals for our sex] scene. David left Neil and me alone on that set for like two hours to make sure we could do it." Well, it's very intriguing, but Pike said the act was almost robotic.

Gone Girl is set to be released on October 3, and it was rumored that the premiere is going to be held at Cape Girardeau. Some parts of the movie was shot at Cape Girardeau and theater officials are expecting a premiere on October 2. The director of Cape Girardeau Convention and Visitors Bureau said they are planning a red carpet event for the movie.
