The Mentalist' Season 7 News Update 2014: Final Season Release Date and Cast Spoilers, A Rookie Will Join the Cast for Finale
The "Mentalist" Season 7 is currently filming its last season. However, it will still be released on January 2015. Fans would have to wait a few more months before having their regular dose of the show.
For a while now, there is an announcement that a new cast will join the new season There are rumors of Michelle Vega joining the cast as Loren. Loren will be one more great addition to the team of Patrick Jane. Loren is described as the rookie coming from the FBI Academy just recently, who never heard of Jane. Moreover, Loren doesn't have any idea about Jane's history and well, Loren is unimpressed by Jane's unorthodox ways. So, let's see how these two great characters will work together.
If a new cast is coming in, an old one is set to leave. Emily Swallow, who plays FBI Agent Kim Fisher will not take part on season 7 anymore. This is because of the fact that Swallow already joined "Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce," a Bravo series.
On the other hand, Morena Baccarin will be coming back to reprise her role as Erika Flynn. Her character was last seen during the season 4. She was released from the prison because she convinced Jane as well as Lisbon played by Robin Tunney that she got important information on a case. Baccarin will be on the 3rd episode of season 7, as reported by Zap2it.com
In this season, viewers can expect Lisbon and Jane to work ogether with CIA. They will be tracking down an arm dealer in Beirut.
More exciting twist and turns are planned for the upcoming season of the "Mentalist."
